Pet owners check this out

Post by nothintolose »

Hey Everyone,

I know this has nothing to do with STJ but just wanted to make sure all of you with pets were aware of the recall on many pet foods. The tainted food has caused kidney failure in several animals.

Check here to make sure your food is not on the list: http://www.fda.gov/opacom/7alerts.html

We saw this and took a look this morning. It appears to be only wet food - canned and pouch. Our boy Gus is a dry kibble guy.

Our neighbor stopped by yesterday to warn us about this -- between our two houses we have 3 yellow labs. His two do the mix of dry and wet and one was sick yesterday. He is hoping that its not related to this! Our pup does dry only, so we should be fine.

So sad.

It's absolute crazy because so many people use wet with their dry or by itself...especially little dog owners.

Alot of cat owners used canned as well.

I hope that your neighbor's dog is okay.
