A shmear of good deli mustard and then sprinkle this stuff on which is quite awesome:

Also throw a pinch or 2 of that seasoning in with maybe 4 mayo to 1 mustard, some lemon juice, maybe a splash of garlic/herb dressing to mix up what I guess you might call a quick kind of remoulade on the side. The salmon is from Wegmans, comes on the plank already. Mighty tasty.

I am trying to use Picasa for the first time and the embed link results in code that is ten lines long and leaves a mess after the pictures.. ?? Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
In any event, here are some salads, one made with uncooked, freshly-picked corn, fava beans, and fresh herbs, lightly dressed with basil oil. The other is uncooked shaved green beans with parmesan cheese shavings and a little bit of the basil oil.

I used several services all for different reasons. all my food stuff/forum is in photobucket as I think it's the easiest way to paste things in to the forum. but I also have stuff on picasa and flickr.Maryanne wrote:thanks, mb.
photobucket makes my colors all washed-out. any better services to use?
With Picasa, with the photo you want from your web album open:
> click on “link to this photo” on the right hand side
> then select size, then click to check “hide album link”
> then click on the code in the “embed image” box to highlight it, then RIGHT click to have the “copy” option drop down. Click copy.
Then go to the post you are composing, hit the “Ctrl” and the “v” keys to paste into your post. Done.
No need to use the forum “img” code with this. Check in preview that the photo is there before you hit “submit”.
Sounds more complicated than it is, but it is pretty quick, as is doing the original upload to your web album from Picasa with one or 2 clicks after you crop or edit.

That salmon looks good, jmq. You don't have to presoak that plank before putting it on the grill? I put a plank on once without soaking it and set it completely on fire! Maybe mine was really dry. I don't think my neighbors were too amused with the four foot flames coming out of my grill!
Striped bass is one of my favorite fishes and it is finally in season, so I've been making a lot of it. Here are two recent preparations. This one is a cumin-paprika crusted grilled striper with a orange-lime cabbage slaw and avocado-tomato puree:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/3778673283/" title="striped bass by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3474/377 ... 0f2700.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="striped bass"></a>
And this one is just marinated in lemon and olive oil, then served on greens with grilled tomatoes and a pesto sauce:
