Help - Rash Guard for Hubby -
Hubby had an "early melanoma" excised twice on his back this month. So I thought it best to ask the folks on this board for site suggestions & other recommendations? He doesn't care for the skin tight styles and is traditionally a size L according to the size chart on Coolibar site. Plans to use for snorkeling on STJ. Would you recommend long sleeve? Any sites to stay clear of? Any one have experience with Coolibar? Many thanks.
My husband has several coolibar rash guards-different colors (blue, two of the white, grey I think) he loves them. they are not cut tight like some. basically cut just like a shirt and they seem to fit true to size.
his are short sleeve. but the sleeves are not super short- I think they come a little above the elbow.
just personal preference. short are probably more comfortable, but obviously the long sleeve covers more.
really happy with Coolibar though. the kids items are great. wish the women's stuff wasn't so frumpy looking.

"Sponges grow in the ocean...I wonder how much deeper it would be if that didn't happen."
John has and loves his O'Neill loose fit rashguards. They have spf 50+, and fit loosely. He has one with a mock neck, but prefers the ones with the t-shirt necks. Here is a link to buy:

And here is John in his favorite rash guard, so your hubby can see that they do fit loosely:

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Rash guards
Thanks everyone for the great info and including Liamsaunt's hubby's picture with rash guard - it couldn't get any better than that! Will give DH all info and let him decide. He definitely needs this protection. Again, VIOL never fails.

Shelli2001: Thanks for the info on Land's End. Guess I'm a little late for these people - they only had medium left. Great thought anyway!

I think it was Flip Flop who said her husband just bought those shirts from Nike and Underarmor that you get at Dick's Sporting Goods and the like. She said he was really pleased with them.
Of course, I don't really know anything about this, I just remembered reading it and thinking it was a good idea if you were having trouble locating real rash guards.

I picked up an O'Neill loose fit for this last visit and I love it. It fits just like a T-Shirt and I never came close to burning even without any sunscreen underneath.
Mine was from www.RashGuardShirtCo.com and it ran $36. I bought L and needed XL and they sent the new one out quickly and credited my card when they received the L back from me (at my leisure)
