Hi! This is just too cool reading that many of you are in or from places we know very well!! My husband Mike and I are here in Roanoke VA, very close to Bedford and Blacksburg VA. We are also familiar w/ Clifton Forge(that was mentioned earlier by I think VA girl)? We have lived here all our lives and have no real plans of leaving. That is until we could swing getting a house on St John:) Anyway this is so great to see that we are among some forumites right here in our town of Roanoke:)We would love to come to the VA forum gathering! Let us all know:)

Steph - you are about half way between Jorge and I! We were in Roanoke Friday night and ate at the New Yorker on Williamson Road. The first time we have been there in years. Love their cheese cake!
Ron L - I always thought that one finger salute meant that they thought you were number one! That is the way I always took it!
Good grief...I didn't realize we had so many fellow forum readers here in Virginia and so close by! Nice to know.
We are semi-virgin (don't know how you can a semi-virgin....kinda like a little pregnant...but anyway) visitors to St John. We were on a cruise three years ago and spent the day at St John with my husband's cousins who live there October thru May. We enjoyed the day so much that we decided to try a week there this year. You see my time line below, we have a trip coming up and I am so excited!! My coworkers are sick of hearing me talk about it!
What happened to all of the warm weather we were having last week?

Does "Northern" Virginia REALLY count as Virginia????
A lot of Virginian's don't think so Suzi.
Does it make you fellow Viriginians mad when people think WEST Virginia and Virginia are the same state? It irritates me!My response when asked is a smile...see I have all of my teeth and my husband is not my uncle nor my brother.
Sorry West Virginians. I'm sure you have heard all of the West Virginia jokes and don't think they are funny.

Jo Ann I worked at a little bldg beside the library(it was a physical/occupational therapy facility for children called center for rehab and development. They have since moved to another location right on 460. Im no longer there, now I work for Lewis Gale Med center kind of part timish:)Liked Bedford though, but I dont miss the commute:)
Jorge Love the Flat Rock Grille too! Great fish. Isnt there a Cabo Fish Taco down there near you? Ive read about it, but we havent tried it yet. We were thinking we would when we were there for A Hokie game, but havent been able to leave the tailgate to go:) Steph
