Charlie and I are at breakfast today with our friends who are
> visiting from Michigan. Charlie is wearing his STJ VI Pale Ale shirt and

> chuckles and says yeah, on STJ. Oh me too we've been to STJ many time - oh us too .. blah blah and then we went
> back to our breakfast. A few minutes later the woman comes over to me
> and says "you aren't Mary Beth by chance are you?" Hahahahahahahhaa - my
> Michigan friends were like WHAT THE HELL?????? How does this woman know you?

Turns out they both post to the On St John blog and the man and I had previously discussed living in the same town over on that blog. His name is Quenton and all I recall is her saying she posts as J Lo on that blog.

I asked if they posted on the forum and they said the do not but maybe they should check this board out :)

So to Quenton and J Lo if you read this come on out of lurkdom!
It was fun to meet you and even funnier that we were on island at the same time this year but didn't know it until we met today over breakfast!

That's a great story, MB. I have read many of Quinten's comments there. If they love STJ and On-STJ.com, they would love it here, too.

Oh, I recognize Quinten's name...he always starts his posts on the Bongo site with "good morning/good afternoon, etc."

Small world MBW! What fun.

I never realized how many people look at this forum for info. But one day a customer I've known for years whispers to me, "Are you on a Virgin Islands forum?" I said yes and she said that she thought she recognized me from my avatar (which is pretty scary since I don't walk around with a cherry up my nose all of the time....SHOCKING, I KNOW!) Then she told me that I crack her up and they bought a villa. Small world!

I was outted as a forumite in TJ Maxx the other day by Nancy. She was the nicu nurse when Belly Flop was in the nicu after he was born.

VERY small world. She said "you are flip-flop aren't you?" I kind of wanted to crawl under the racks, but pulled it together and had a nice talk with her and her daughter.

Soon after posting on this forum, I received a PM from someone who started questioning me. Was my real name Connie, the town I lived in, etc. It turned out that it was a guy I went through gradeschool with and lived very close to me. He goes to STJ too!

I think he lurks, but what a small world.
