What are jumbies?

Post by Lex »

There's a book to help us to understand.

http://stjohnsource.com/content/news/lo ... -book-born

It's written by a native of STX who is a Catholic priest. It's a small venture, self-published, available on STX and STT, but apparently not yet on STJ. Somebody should stock it.

STJ Spice might make a good place to have it available!

I am sure the book would offer a detailed explanation but in short, jumbies are "ghosts" or "spirts"

We commissioned a 4'x3' oil painting of Moko Jumbies for our condo as they are a very positive spirit, soul, being.

Thanks for the pics....I didn't realize you were also a New Hampshireite. While I'm a native Vermonter, I did live in Concord for about 8 years. Thanks again...
