Woodstock (song):
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Woodstock" is a song about the Woodstock Music and Art Festival of 1969.
Joni Mitchell wrote the song from what she had heard from then-boyfriend, Graham Nash, about the festival. She had not been there herself, since she was told it would be more advantageous to appear on The Dick Cavett Show by a manager. She wrote this song crying at home watching the show on television...Prior to release on any album, Mitchell performed "Woodstock" at the 1969 Big Sur Folk Festival, one month after Woodstock.

I thought you were talking about California Girl and Rick's wedding anniversary? :D
Woodstock was cool too, though...I can still hear Grace Slick say, "Good Morning people!" I was 11..

Rick and I were married on August 9, 1969. The same day that the Manson Family killed Sharon Tate & Jay Sebring. Fond memory, eh?

P.S. But thanks for remembering, Bev! I'm impressed! :D

If you find Woodstock performed by James Taylor live on the Howard Stern show, it will be worth your effort. I think my daughter found it on Limewire??? We both think it's the most beautiful version EVER!

(I didn't steer ya wrong with Fretkillr did I?)

I was only 8 but my oldest brother (19 at the time) was in the thick of it all...good and bad memories.
