To Bevm - just curious!

Post by LandLockedBeachLover »

OK I'm dying to know. Sorry if I missed out on this question / answer previously...

Bevm - Your avatar. What do you have going on with your eyes and what looks to be a spoon (?) on your nose and/or your tongue sticking out? Is that it? It's buggin' me to figure it out, and won't I feel like a complete tool if you say your face is disfigured somehow?

I think it only appropriate that Bev explain what it is and how the hell it got there.

Ah come on!! Leaving me in suspense. At least I know there IS a story behind the photo, and I haven't completely embarrassed myself in public!

I know!

But we will let the one and only Bev answer the question.

I don't know the story either so I'm really looking forward to it now - the suspense is building :)

If she is not able to log on by tomorrow, I will DIE of suspense now! Thanks Nancy B, I'm glad I'm not the only "clueless" one out there in forum-land :)

I'm sorry if you find my avatar offensive. I was born with a few birth defects. Crossed eyes, being one of them. And I have a Harelip. That day I decided to make light of my deformity and put a cherry in my nostril to hide my embarrassment and shame, and for just one moment to feel like a normal, fun person. It was wonderful and so freeing. I love that picture.
