Car barge experience of today

Post by seagrape »

Hi All. We REALLY did WELL today going on the barge to STT. We got the 6am and drove right on and were the LAST car to board. No waiting. We got all of our errands done and headed back. We got there at 1:30. When we got to the little booth, the woman said it was going to leave at 2:30. Scott waited while I ran to get some sandwiches from the deli. By the time I got back, they were loading @1:45. Again, we were the LAST truck to board. Lucky us! Maybe I should buy a lottery ticket! So, as Pia would say "Why Worry?"

The best,

Didn't have a chance to report this sooner, but my wife & her family had no problems taking the ferry to STJ yesterday afternoon. no wait at all.

I think she was on the Roanoke.

Les drove by the car ferry dock today after work, so around 5pm, and there was a loooooooong line to get to STT :(

I think you are safer during this time if you are not trying to return to STT "peak" times of the day, meaning weekend/villa turn over days in the morning for the afternoon flights, and daily after about 3:30pm

Any updates on the car barges for this week? We will be staying on STT starting tomorrow and want to visit STJ on 2 days. Which type of days might be our best options - weekdays or weekend days?

Thanks! :D
