Bay House?

Post by lpowmacback »

Our third trip back staying on STJ - but instead of going back to Gallows (which we LOVE - but is a little too pricey - and we'd like to try something different anyway)... thinking about Bay House in Coral Bay. It looks lovely -GREAT WATER VIEWS which is vital - as is an open, airy feel...

Anyone stay there? How convenient are markets, beaches, restaurants? If we dare take our 21 year old son with us- will he be able to walk to town / beaches when he gets bored?

Thanks all :-)
Peace,

Lisa

RickG stayed there so you might want to PM him. I stayed right up the hill (shared driveway) at Seabiscuit.

Bayhouse looked great from the outside.

You/your son could walk to Coccoloba where there is Lilly's market (like a grocery/convenience store), Big Belly Deli, Aqua Bistro, and a few shops. You could also walk to Island Blues.

You would not be able to walk to a good beach though.

Hope that helps.

I have stayed at Bay House 5 or 6 times, always in July and August. It is a wonderful location with GREAT breezes and for me one of the affordable villas on STJ. Grocery and resturants are in walking distance at the bottom of the hill ... driving to the beaches is essential. There is something soothing about being at Bay House! I love it. Enjoy!

Whoever was there last week recommended it in my villa ideas thread. I was ready to stay there, but it's not available when we're going.

Wow...great breezes down that low in July & Aug?!?!

This pretty much cements the Bay House rep.
