I didn't do a report on dining but we enjoyed all the food we had on St. John. Below stood out particularly.
--- Lunch ---
Waterfront Bistro - It was Saturday around noon and we were one of only a few customers there. We got a beach side table so had great views of the Cruz Bay waterfront. We watched ferries come and go with folks arriving and leaving. Very relaxing... and the food was excellent. Really, I'm not a burger person, but even I loved their juicy, very well seasoned burger. My husband really enjoyed the Fish Taco but he tasted my burger and said he wanted to order that next time.
Sun Dog Cafe - We are always amazed that they serve such great food out of that tiny kitchen. We love their quesadillas and often try their daily specials. We have never ever been disappointed, and drinks from Gecko Gazebo make us even happier.
--- Dinner ---
La Plancha - This place is rather small and has no view but serves excellent food. The folks there are very nice too. This is definitely our new favorite in Cruz Bay and is on top of our must-do list now.
Sweet Plantains - This has been on our must-do list and it will rightfully remain so. We went there without reservations on Friday night. When they asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside, we told them we preferred inside - we like their decor. They informed us about a party of 8 coming in soon, sitting inside. They gave us a table right by the window (our favorite table) farthest from the large group - very considerate. All the food we had there was wonderful: Saltfish Cakes, House Caesar (a bit spicy, and we liked it), Red Curry with Scallops, and Coconut Curry with Swordfish (at least I think it was Swordfish).
We did pizza take-out from Donkey Diner and we really enjoyed it (they make pizza only on Wednesdays and Fridays). It was nice running into Pia at Donkey Diner. She and her husband were picking up their pizza there too.

IllinoisGuy, that is a Ballyhoo. Similar to a Needfish, you often see them swimming close to the surface of the water.
SJfromNJ, of course, I don't mind. Glad that you found something you like.
As for the cameras, for beaches & underwater, I used the Canon D10 (some shots are PhotoShopped). For villas & food, I used the Canon DS850IS.
Appreciated all the kind words, everyone. Thank you very much. Have a great summer!
