SeaScape Villa / December Holiday

Post by Instinct »

Hello All!
My husband & I are planning a holiday for the first half of December.
Has anyone an opinion on SeaScape Villa in Chocolate Hole?
How About and disadvantages to St. Johns in December.
Thank you all sooooo much for any words of wisdom! This is our first trip to St. Johns and are hoping to spend less than 2k on the villa so we may do many activities.

We go every year in December and love it. It gets a bit crowded around Christmas and New Year's, but the first 2 weeks are terrific!

Seascape

Post by BillnSue »

My soon to be wife, Sue, and I have stayed at Seascape twice in consecutive years. Both experiences were wonderful. The rental agency, Island Getaways, were great as well. The property is on Bovacoap point with really beautiful ocean views and cozy...although not luxurious...accomodations. That being said, the villa had everything that we needed and was absolutely perfect for the two of us. Traffic past the house is minimal as it's on a road that no one would travel unless they were renting there. It's a 5 minute drive to town. The interior furniture has had some wear, but we didn't spend much time inside. The kitchen is well-stocked. There is decking on the front and pool side of the house that is really nice. A neighbor's cat came to have breakfast and happy hour with us each day and was a joy. Bananaquits were our constand companions and appreciated a little sugar water on the deck railing It's their favorite! As long as you're there for each other and for the incredible experience that IS stj, this home will be everything that you need!

Its great to hear from someone who has stayed at SeaScape. Just to be sure..Island Getaways doesn't carry Seascape? Are you speaking of the one in Chocolate Hole? Has two buildings. One the main with living, kitchen & master. The other with a kitchenette and another bedroom? Looks to be a dark pinkish exterior?
I hope it is the same one because I love the idea of the cat.
If so was it quiet, priviate?
Congrats on the engagement... :D

Our first trip was in late Dec early Jan '07/08; second trip will be right after Christmas this year. We had great weather... sunny, warm, nice water temps. The nights were cool and breezy so we were very comfortable even though our villa had no A/C.

I'm sure it was more crowded than other times of year, but in this case 'crowded' is a relative term and we certainly never felt like there were too many people around. If other people happen to be on the same beautiful, pristine beach when I'm there... well I can certainly live with that!

Huge bonus for us is leaving the cold Chicago weather and arriving in that balmy tropic air.

Have fun!

Seascape

Instinct...So sorry, you're correct. We've dealt with both Island Getaways and Carefree Getaways. It's Carefree who handles Seascape (it's listed on their website). Yes, this is the house by your description...no mistake. Again, it was perfect for us!
