Today is the 330th day before our proposed walk of woe for our next trip to STJ. Why is that significant, you ask? 
It is the first day that Delta will sell you a ticket for that day. 
WE ARE BOOKED FOR MAY 21 THROUGH JUNE 1, 2010 ON STJ!
By going on line this early we were able to get the lower milage award tickets.
They generally go very fast. This year we hesitated setting the dates in hopes of getting a group together for a trip. We were unsuccessful on both counts - we went alone and paid more miles for the tickets. As it turns out, we arrived to one of the largest gathering of Forumites ever. 
So we weren't alone in that sense. We are still looking for couples to travel with on the 2010 trip, but this time we set a time frame.
The great part of these dates is that we have 12 days and 11 nights on STJ while using only 7 days of vacation. There are 4 weekend days and Memorial Day in that period. There is no Saturday travel either.
It's something to look forward to as I sit in all those boarding lounges for the next ten and a half months.
