Re: Random likes and dislikes....CANNOT be political.
Fun topic, but what's wrong with black poodles? My little Toby is the best!! There are so many worse things to dislike...........like mosquitoes, scorpions, snakes, cock roaches, bad movies, the news, traffic jams, no parking for miles, a phone call in the middle of the night, the scale........I could go on and on.djmom wrote:Since the movie thread has been fun...how about some random likes and dislikes...not pet peeves though.

When I look at these there is probably a very easy freudian explanation of mine![]()
My likes......memories of going to my grandparents house as a kid; the first cool, crisp day after a long hot summer; having all my kids at home and happy!!; a nice long soak in my tub with the jets on high, with a good glass of wine and some classical music, all my friends that I love so much, nice clothes on sale, a beautiful flower, home grown veggies.......I could go on and on. lol!

Sorry about the black poodles, cypressgirl. I should clarify, I have nothing against small black poodles.
But those really big ones with the shaved bodies and fluffy hair-ugh...nothing personal, but they creep me out.
I don't know why, they almost make me gag.
I am sure YOUR poodle is fine. Maybe if I actually KNEW one, it would be ok, and then I would see they have a personality. This is poodle dislike "from afar."
Didn't mean to offend!
I dislike other stuff too like scorpions, but I was aiming for random dislikes...so I left off the obvious.

No problem. I'm just giving you a little $hit. Actually, my little Tody is about 14 lbs., and is scruffy. We get him groomed every few months to get the hair out of his face (puppy cut, not the fru-fru cut) I wish you could meet him. EVERYONE on the street loves him. He's the happiest dog I've ever known, and I wasn't a poodle fan at all. But I'm a convert, plus they don't shed. Big plus!!

Why worry about making them when God gave us Mrs. T.?Lulu76 wrote:Lysa, I never used to make them because I don't do well with dough at all. However, on New Year's Day I made dozens of pierogi (along with cabbage rolls and kielbasa) and fed my friends a Polish feast just like we would have at home.LysaC wrote:i'm with you lulu. i saw peirogis on someone's list and thought- i too love those darned polish dumpling/raviloi/thingies.
my gram & ciocie are the only ones who make them now and not very often cuz they are old, old ladies. i can't make dough for shit & my mum doesn't have the patience so the family recipes (cabbage) perogis will die out with the ladies.
dang it.
Surprisingly, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I did worse keeping the cabbage rolls together (only cheaters use toothpicks) and I have made them a million times.
Another like: All the awesome Polish restaurants in Hamtramck (part of Detroit)

Oh but they are delish. Of course I don't buy them often as I might as well just spackle them to my ass.
