Planning a STJ wedding!

Post by Xislandgirl »

The friends that we travelled with last year will be returning with us next year and decided that they will get married while we are there.
It will just be the 4 of us, maybe her cousin John who lives on island. They have decided that they will not tell anyone, and just come home married and plan a big party. It will be super low key followed by dinner at Zozo's.

Any suggestions on an officiant? They do not want Ann Marie, just not their style. Does anyone know if Bob Davis is still around and if he does weddings? They just want a nice, non religous ceremony on Jumbie.

My husband and I got married on St. John last April. We used Stuart Scott, who is actually located on St. Thomas, but he will come to St. John - he was awesome!! His website is www.usviservices.com and he has a link to some ceremony samples on his website. I highly recommend him! Let me know if you have any other questions or need recommendations.

What about Phil Chalker? His website is The Wayward Sailor -took us to Jost last year. Very cool, laid back and definitely a zen kind of guy - think you'd like him!

How about you or hubby marrying them - you can become ordained on line and customize the ceremony :)

Congrats to your friends and to you for being lucky enough to be part of their day!
We were married in Nov 2003 and used Emmanual Jaggernauth. He was so kind and insightful.
We too wanted a non-religous ceremony. Our date was the week of the big Nov rain, so had to skip the beach and got married at the Lutheran Church. We used Stacy from Ceremonies of St John. I think the vows are on her site, but can't access from work. But ours were very nuetral and if I recall tied back to the ocean and nature, we modified them slightly. Despite the rain, wouldn't change a thing!! Can't think of a better spot to begin a life together.
Good Luck and Congrats again!
