Trip report- pictures- days 5 and 6

Post by sea-nile »

June 15- Ahh, Monday morning!
I sat on the deck waiting for the others to wake up. I was petting the cat that my daughter named Panda. :D I realized that I am probably allergic to cats... Anyway I caught this:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3658831761/" title="IMG_3749 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2452/365 ... 8e616f.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_3749"></a>

Off to Waterlemon. Great hike and wonderful snorkeling!
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3655978981/" title="IMG_7354 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3312/365 ... 43b6a5.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7354"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3655979699/" title="IMG_7358 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3304/365 ... f431b3.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="IMG_7358"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3656775664/" title="IMG_7362 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3379/365 ... c163cd.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7362"></a>

This Tarpon was GIANT! My daughter swears it was 8 feet, but I do bet it was 6 feet. I got close to it and it was a little bigger than me!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3656777936/" title="IMG_7382 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3330/365 ... 684129.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7382"></a>

my daughter almost sat on this!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3656776600/" title="IMG_7375 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3648/365 ... a4e752.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7375"></a>

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3655981913/" title="IMG_7380 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3542/365 ... 3e15c4.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7380"></a>

Then to Coral Bay and then to Coconut coast art shop on Frank Bay:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3655985893/" title="IMG_7413 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2119/365 ... 8819fd.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7413"></a>
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3656782808/" title="IMG_7428 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3415/365 ... 59be51.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7428"></a>

Home:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3659621868/" title="IMG_3760 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3314/365 ... 849d29.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="IMG_3760"></a>

Later we met Jim and Diana at Woody's and ate at Crazy Cracker's.

6-16

to Trunk again. We got in a good morning snorkel before the rain came. We saw some squid:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3655991951/" title="IMG_7461 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2474/365 ... bde47a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7461"></a>

the tree is still there but being held up by some logs:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3656794298/" title="IMG_7497 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3569/365 ... b7ffd9.jpg" width="375" height="500" alt="IMG_7497"></a>

We got kicked out of the water due to lightening and then went to Hawksnest. We just sat on the beach. There was still some lightening but not really raining.

Later we put on our matching shirts that my daughter desined for her girl's physics club at school:
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/sea-nile/3655999277/" title="IMG_7511 by jtmmrut, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3661/365 ... 971b31.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_7511"></a>

Then we went to have pizza with Cypressgirl and her daughter at their villa Nautilus. It was great to see Cyp and meet her daughter. Nautilus is very nice!

You saw some really cool stuff at Waterlemon. Lucky!

If you get there early, you see a lot and no it is an eel. No sea snakes in STJ!

Great pictures. Looks like you ladies had a great time. We had three generations on island this time too but neglected to get a good picture of all of us! :-(

Great stuff at Waterlemon; I've never seen squid at Trunk. Nice finds.

What IS that thing your daughter almost sat on?

I love your photo reports!! You see the best stuff. My last 3 trips to Waterlemon have been a bust. Maybe I'll set the alarm clock next time, or you can just wake me. :D

What a great snorkel that must have been. A nurse shark, eel, tarpon and lots of other things.

Jayseadee, it's a Peacock flounder.

We must snorkel waterlemon again, as it was not that good at all, last year when we snorkeled.

Thanks again for sharing your great photos.
