I can't believe it's already over!!

Post by Gromit »

Well kids, I have returned to the mainland and am not at all happy about it!

The only thing that kept me from sobbing on the walk of woe was knowing that I'd be back in just 5 short months!!

Unfortunately I am not NEARLY as organized as Flip so you will have to wait for my trip report.

I ran into SO MANY AWESOME FORUMITES on this trip and we had a BLAST!!

I will try to pull my photos and TR together by early next week.

Can't wait to relive and share those incredible 10 days with you all!

Highlights will include:

-Beach Bar gathering for the Summer Solstice
-Great snorkeling spots
-Restaurant reviews (including some new finds and a surprising bad experience from one of my previous faves)
-Review of the new Drift Away Spa
-Overnight on Jost and Camping at Ivans
-Jost Car rental review Paradise vs. Abe & Nices
-BBQ nite at Foxy's
-Assorted tips and tricks
-Grocery buying strategies
-The best bagels in the universe
-Tips for traveling with family
-New music I love
-Best painkiller on STJ

Damn we had a great time and I can't wait to share it with you!!! 8)

On this "best bagel" thing, while we were visiting in April, we stopped by the little Mojo Cafe place right in front of High Tide for breakfast. We got some bagels to go and proceeded to eat them while filling out our dinghy paperwork on Cruz Bay Beach. My husband (who is from NY) declared the bagels to be "really da*n good." To me, pretty much anything tastes really da*n good on St. John though.

I could just go ahead and ruin it for ya'll right here...but I won't. I will say ... It's in Coral Bay ;-)

Even Belly Flop who was cutting a 2yr molar and not eating much of anything loved them!
