Coral Reef Adventure - How Long will is last?
Coral Reef Adventure - How Long will is last?
I watched this move in streaming format the other night, really good information on coral over on "the other side of the globe"...if you're into that kinda thing...Leam Neeson narates it and there is some cool underwater video...

The power of IMAX projection transports you to an amazing underwater world as ocean explorers Howard and Michele Hall dive on a coral reef in the pristine waters of the South Pacific. With Jean-Michel Cousteau, deep reef scientist Richard Pyle and Fijian diver Rusi Vulakoro, they explore and capture on film one of the most beautiful places on Earth ... in all its fragile splendor.
Obviously I didn't experience "the power of IMAX via streaming video but it was very good anyway...

It's kind of a morbid fascination in a way, but I have spent a little time researching coral mortality. I suppose I have done this, primarily, to try to better understand the chances that "cool coral" will become a thing of the past within the next century...will my kids be able to enjoy "cool coral" the way we have? I find it an interesting topic that, like most, has plenty of wive's tales and BS associated with it. Anyway....below is a link to some info that is new to me that I wanted to share...."The Sahara Dust Theory". The two largest contributors I knew of to date were temperature and silt...now a theory on contaminants from Saharan dust....
