American Express

My main credit card is AMEX but I was wondering if many places on STJ accepted it or should I just leave it home? We always bring 2 different cards so that if something happens to one, we still have a back up. Usually it's 2 VISAs....

We bring both Amex and Visa and have found that most restaurants and about 50% of the retailers that accept CC's will take Amex. Likewise, most of the car rental agencies will accept Amex -- which is a big plus since most have very good rental car insurance coverage.

Some place take it and some don't. We take both the AMEX and Mastercard and then we're covered.

I agree with Eric, I like the car to be on the Am Ex because of the insurance benefits, also. I think alot of places accepted it, but we bring a VISA also.
