Great song on Episode 1 of Weeds

Post by Gromit »

So I'm a big fan of Weeds on Showtime.

Anyway, near the end of Ep 1 of this new season there was a flash mob scene that took place with this song and I loved it... found it on You Tube and thought some of you would enjoy as well... I added it to my STJ tunes list cause it had this fun caribbean vibe.

I liked this song so much that I just got their album "All Rebel Rockers" on iTunes - $7.99. Some good stuff.

Love it!

I am also a Weeds fan and Gromit, I am blaming you for my complete inability to do anything at home for the past week as I am constantly watching Season One of True Blood on On Demand.

Overall I'm really liking several of Michael Franti's songs. Can't believe I haven't heard of him before. I also downloaded "Hey Now Now" but he's got lots of pretty cool stuff... I like the fact that his music doesn't fall into one category. It's sort of reggae/hip hop/rock/rap/alternative.

PA Girl-- welcome to my world!! LOVE True Blood. HOT!! Have you read the Sookie Stackhouse novels yet?? Super fun and the TV show seems to be departing from the storyline in the books. They are easy summer reading and you can get the first 7 in a set form Amazon for like $30 - BARGAIN!!

Season 2 of True Blood is great too!

I haven't read the books yet. I started watching the show after seeing your comments about the books on the What Are You Reading thread. I watched all of season one over a couple days and I still have vampires on the brain.

LOVE True Blood! Got my set of the first 7 Sookie Stackhouse novels on eBay for $20 - only the first one had been cracked - - guess the owners decided the novels weren't for them. Well, they sure were for ME! Loved them. Took 1-5 to STX with me and did a lot of reading by the water. Great summer reads.

Interesting now to watch the series and figure out how they are either sticking with or changing the characters and details in the novels. I have to get over to Borders to get numbers 8 and 9.

Haven't gotten into Weeds but am enjoying the new Nurse Jackie and waiting for Dexter to return.
