Silcon Cover
Hi,
I have the Olympus Underwater camera, it is only about a year & half old. From the beginning I have had issues with it when we took it in the water(it said the door was open) well of course it wasn't. I know I should have sent it in for repair while under warranty, but procastinated & didn't. It starts to work again after a few days of rest. I noticed on the Olympus web sight that you can get a silicone cover for it. Does anyone have one of these, do you think it would help????
I know I can still send it in for repair, but the cost is $100.00 so thought this product just may solve the issue????
Need to decide what to do as I will need it for the upcoming STJ trip
Thoughts???
Thanks

Hey Shopper!
Don't waste your money on it...wait till it dies completely and buy a new one. The prices of digital camera's are really dropping and because of the price of additional equipment or repairs are so high, it's just not worth it.
I have the exact same camera and also bought my daughter one. I was extremely happy with the punishment it took from my daughter (she's 18) but once they went in the water, they both died! I still say my daughters was worth the money because it held up to the teenage drops/bangs/etc. better than any other she ever had. For me, not so.
I say just go with your name and start SHOPPING!!
XOXO
