Sigh... We had a flat tire.
After picking up our luggage at Cinnamon Tarn, we went to Josephine's for wonderful fresh veggies and then tried to make a quick stop at Lily's before meeting up with our greeter. As soon as we drove into the Coccoloba parking lot, we began hearing an ominous hiss. We, one speechless and the other cursing (mildly), watched one of the front tires gradually shrink... like our sprits. Of all the spaces in the lot, we had to choose the one where the tire could get snagged on metal bars sticking out of the concrete.

We were supposed to hook up with Patsy, our greeter, in 15 minutes. I tried to call her but my feeble cell had no signal. Sigh... again. In the toasty afternoon, we took all the luggage out of the Nitro in our attempt to change the tire. Just then, a man drove by and said,"Do you need help?" He parked his car and came over to help us. He looked at our luggage and said,"What a way to start your vacation!" Of course, it wasn't the start, it was the middle; nonetheless, dreadful.
Honestly, if he hadn't driven by, Patsy would've had to wonder where the heck we were for who knows how long.
I asked him "Do you rent villas?" I had noticed that his car had a familiar website painted on the side. "Yes," he replied. He was Bill (he introduced himself as Billy to us) from Book-it V. I. As you can imagine, we were so grateful for his aid. Right then I wanted to call him:
"Billy-the savior."
I should've.
One afternoon we tried to visit his office at Coccoloba but it appeared to be closed. We walked up to his daughter

Pickle, great report and pictures. We also stayed at Reef Madness earlier this year and loved it. The coffee maker got the best of us - not once but twice (so sad to loose some great Voodoo coffee!). We also slept in the downstairs bedroom and it was indeed a cave.
Glad to hear that you got better for your second week. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us.

wow those pictures are fantastic and make me REALLY want to stay there.
off to do more villa research!
ps - we had a coffee maker mishap in Bongo Bongo also! Perhaps it is the same coffee maker.
Not that there was any trick to it - I mean who would think the coffee maker would actually make coffee without a coffee pot in there to drop in to!

Great report, loved the pictures. Reef Madness is at the top of our list for our next trip, though that may not be as soon as we'd like. Also, glad they trimmed the vegetation for you. I've never understood why you'd spend a million dollars plus to build a home with a view, then let that view be obstructed. It will grow back, owners!
