I hope you don't mind my linking back, Minde, but I felt bad about the way you were treated. There are lots of options out there for rentals.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

No, I don't mind. We went there with kind hearts and open minds, expecting to be treated nicely for being nice. That didn't happen.liamsaunt wrote:Link to Minde's experience with Conrad Sutton:

Ok, since Bandit took it upon himself to boast that he had sent someone a PM telling them not to post so much, I feel justified in posting this.

Posting in every thread is very annoying. Please post only when you have something constructive to add to the topic. In addition, the Private Message feature of the Forum is an excellent way to carry on a one-on-one conversation with other members of the Forum.
Thanks,
Bandit
I guess I'm flattered that anyone would spend so much time reading every single thing I've ever posted. Since you're so busy keeping track, Bandit, I'll post more often for you!

Re: Where I stand with PMs
Connie, I agree with what Lex said. If it's rude, then it's rude. What was rude was the fact that Bandit even PM'd me to begin with.
Lex wrote: Now and then, though, I get a fairly weird one. As I see it, I have no obligation of any sort to keep the message private. The sender sent the recipient an unsolicited message. The recipient entered into no agreement to keep the contents private. Anytime I receive a particularly bizarre PM, I consider posting it, just so the rest of the forum can share in the weirdness. Just wanted to suggest that no one send me anything in a PM that they wouldn't want posted on the forum.
CG, as I see it...Bandit has the right now to post YOUR message back to him on the forum and I'm sure you had something to say to him/her.
You just can't help yourself.
Again....PM means PRIVATE MESSAGE. Keep it OFF the forum.
If you'd rather have a conversation with me off the board, and in a PM, then fine, but enough already.
It's almost like you are thriving on starting alot of trouble.
Sorry if no one else feels this way, but this is rediculous.
How much time will it take you to reply to this message. I see it only took 5 minutes.
Take it to PM's.

Connie - Since you seem to be so interested, I'm not shy about posting my reply in public. Here it is:

I have no idea what you're talking about. Please don't PM me any more.
Yes, Connie, you're absolutely right, and I think the rest of the forum will agree with you that all I want to do here is start trouble. That's why I help people make avatars, give Photoshop lessons, and try to give good advice to newbies. Yup, I'm a troublemaker all right!
Oh yeah, and nice time-keeping skills there!

Your not alone Connie. If I have a problem with a PM I would take it up with the sender, ignore it or if it is a serious problem I would take it up with Anthony. But that is just my opinion.Connie wrote:Sorry if no one else feels this way, but this is rediculous.

When I posted that, I was trying to be proactive. I was getting a sense that I might soon be on the receiving end of some unpleasant PMs. I was hoping to discourage such posts by making it clear that I wouldn't hesitate to post them on the forum for all to see. As I mentioned, I don't believe that I have any obligation to keep a post private. Any PM coming to me is unsolicited and I've made no agreement to keep the contents private. The sender may want the contents kept private but I've agreed to nothing and the sender doesn't have authority to require me to keep the contents private. It's not a one way street where the sender sets the conditions of their post and the recipient is required to accept them.
Just to be clear, I'm only referring to annoying, hostile, weird PMs. The others I keep to myself. And as I said, my intention in posting that thread was to be proactive and let folks know that I'm not about to protect the privacy of anyone who sends me a dose of their weirdness.

I'm so done with all this crap! I get beat up when I'm mean, I get beat up when I'm nice. I'm just not going to put myself out there any more for anyone to use me as a scapegoat or punching bag.
I got accused of getting Jorge kicked off the forum... well, let me just say this: I only WISH I had that kind of power around here!
