Any Recommendations For A Good Site To Post Pictures?

Post by Drumbiker »

I have finally finished my trip report and want to be able to link the photos as I post. What sites have you used in the past to put pic's up?

I also use Photobucket, Picasa and Flikr...all are very similar. If you use Gmail, Picasa integrates well.
Still waiting to return to St. John!

Flickr is my choice. It is worth the $29/year charge...unlimited uploading/storage.
Leap, and the net will appear.

I use webshots, but I'm not really a fan.

If really good quality presentation is important, I highly recommend http://www.zenfolio.com. Their basic package is $25/year. I use their professional package since I also sell my photography and use my own domain name.

What's important to me is: 1) the ability to store full resolution files online (rather than have them be automatically resized like Photobucket; 2) really nice web presentation of the photos (ie, there are different algorythms used to resize web photos and some look pretty poor); 3)good protection of my images so they are easily stolen and reused without my authorization; and lastly, 4) a nice clean, easy to use interface.

I've posted a link to my STJ photos before but if you're curious about what Zenfolio looks like, here it is again: http://singlespeedphoto.com/stjohn2009

If anyone wants a $5 off referral coupon, feel free to use mine: NKC-RR6-WCG

Anthony just put a gallery feature here on the forum and it's really nice (and free!). You can access it here: http://www.virgin-islands-on-line.com/photos/index.php
