First time on Coral Bay side...what are the must do's...
ok...18 days and counting and I am IGNORING Pia's post about mosquitos.....I will slather the kids in Deet if I have too....LOL.....I am armed and dangerous, damn it! LOL
But aside from that...what are the must do's to experience te coral bay side? Restaurants, beaches, etc? We are staying right next to Aqua Bistro...that is a go...but what else? We've done skinny legs, and will do that again, but I am sure there are some that we've never done...like donkey diner....
any takers?

Donkey Diner is great for pizza on the nites they are open...Relatively inexpensive and good pizza.
We ate at Island Blues several times. The food was very good (stewed curried chicken, nachos, fish & chips, crabcake sandwich - yum!) and reasonably priced by island standards.
Salt Pond Bay Beach was really nice. Short (5 minute) downhill hike to beach and very quiet. On the way to or from Salt Pond Bay Beach you MUST stop at the Tourist Trap and eat lunch with Larry. We had a great time there (multiple times). Doesn't look like much from the road, but the food is DELICIOUS...and he has a children's menu.

Shipwreck Landing - great dinner specials, love the conch fritters and blackened chicken sandwich for lunch. Best hot sauce on island made here!
Tourist Trap - yes, it looks like you are pulling over to drink/eat in someone's back yard. DO IT! Tell Larry you are a Forumite and that the Grouper Taco chick sent you. The food there is fabulous and the special drink he makes is dangerous.
If your kids are adventurous, rent a couple of kayaks from Crabby's and head over to Hurricane Hole for some awesome snorkeling in the mangroves of Princess Bay. There is a little beach there to 'dock' the boats and have a picnic.
Do not miss Vies'. Eat there, pay to go to the beach. Its worth it.
Don't be afraid of Love City Mini Mart for supplies. It has alot of character.

Go to the real Jolly Dog (not the little outpost at Skinnys) and buy a t-shirt.
Drive all the way to the end of East 10.
Visit Sloop Jones.
Eat some garlic chicken and a tart at Miss Vie's.
Brunch at Miss Lucy's.
Take the Ram Head hike, recover at Salt Pond, cuss on your way back up the hill to the jeep.
Eat just about anything at Shipwreck, but definitely have a lime in da coconut!
Have FUN!

Love the beach and snorkeling at Little Lameshur. Some nice shady spots. Watch out for the mongoose! Then snorkel at Big Lameshur (rocky beach - nice snorkeling).
Hike Yawzi Point and snorkel at the little cove about 5-10 minutes down the trail. Great snorkel.
We had a sunset dinner at Cafe Concordia and loved it. The views are really nice over Salt Pond and the food was good. The couple who run the place, and the other staff were super nice. Try their appetizers - some different things like plantains with chipolte sauce, or 3 different bean dips with bread.
Shipwreck is our favorite place to eat. Love the setting, food and drinks. Try the curry nut crusted grouper and key lime pie. Yummy. Be sure to meet Shipwreck Pat.
A drive out to the East End is a must. Beautiful views across to Tortola.

We have only visited once, but in our minds, The Tourist Trap is a must do. LOVED that place. Great food and people there. Funny that we met trvlJohn and trvlKaren there too. We were just chatting with them and the forum came into the conversation. They were mentioning "on-line" stuff, so I asked them if they had heard of the forum. We later found out that sun4mysoul and company were there right after we left also. Other people that we gabbed with was the woman who works at STJ Spice (not Ruth, and sorry I can't remember her name
). She was there with friends. Overall, just a great warm, fuzzy feeling there. I think "Uncle Larry" is a great moniker for him. We will return and spread good words and vibes about this place.
I also require a Skinny Leg's burger every trip.

Going "home" again October 26th!
