Someone definitely should name a house "Villa Gravity" This story made me chuckle!chicagoans wrote:My stupid newbie trick happened before I ever got to STJ. When looking for villas for our 1st trip I was obsessively Googling every villa name I came across. (OK I still do that sometimes.)
I saw a post with the title Villa Gravity. hmmmm... never heard of that one. Where is it? How many bedrooms? Does it have a pool? Couldn't find Villa Gravity using Google, so I started checking the villa management web sites. No Villa Gravity.
I finally read the content of the post, and realized that villa gravity is a state of mind, not an actual villa.
My funny story is about us not be able to find Joe's BBQ. We drove around and around, spied the diner below Cafe Roma, and went up to the counter, "Do you have BBQ?"
Gosh, we felt really dumb the next year when we spotted it on the outside corner of the customs lot!

Marcia's post reminded us of something from our first trip to STJ, which was for our 20th anniversary and we had taken without our children.
We were on the airplane flying home, sitting in our frequent flyer miles obtained first class seats. Part way into the flight home the stewardess asked us, "we are all guessing that you two are newlyweds. Did you get married on the islands or honeymoon there?” We replied, “No, we had been married twenty years.” She told us that we had looked so happy together that it made them think that we were newlyweds. That is what STJ did to us that first year, and every trip since. We are looking forward to falling more deeply in love again this coming trip.
