Google Earth shots

Post by suzanna945 »

I don't if anyone else here likes to play around with Google Earth, but I noticed today when checking out the overhead shots of St. John that the satellite views have been updated and you can pick out your favorite villa as clear as day now, and in great detail! Fun!

WOW, Suzanna! That is a tremendous improvement in resolution.

If we all were to pin-mark villas that we know, it would certainly improve villa choice decisions. We'd literally be able to see where it sits, what's around it, how the road is...

Too cool

Wow. Much better. No cloud cover. Imagery date is Nov. 2006.
Good tip. Thanks.

Sherban has started a Google Earth key on the forum somewhere....Here it is:

It would be great if others were to add to it. We stayed at Inn Paradise on our trip. Unfortunately at the time we were planning, that end of Rock Ridge was obscured by clouds.
Still waiting to return to St. John!

New satellite photo stock looks great but I am seeing a shift in coordinates locations that is annoying....I hope thr references get reset to what they used to be....the old place markers are now off a little bit...on everything.
