May 2009 Pictorial Trip Report: Saving the best for last

This time STJ was saving the best weather for our last day. It was perfect. But some where around 5pm we got this:

But it was ok. In to each life a little rain must fall. And it gave us quite a show to watch in return (sorry but I'm having trouble picking just a few photos here!)

You certainly did get a beautiful show! I love to see the sunset reflected in the water! I wouldn't know how to post only one or two, either, they're all great!

That cloud in the first few actually look like smoke rising from a flame.. Really cool Mary Beth!!

We were on the island this time last year. We had some overcast days and a few showers. We saw a similar sunset the night we ate at The Balcony. We realized that there were a bunch of people behind us gawking at how beautiful it was. When we turned around, we realize that it was about half the staff. They said that it was the most awesome sunset they had seen in months. We felt blessed. When we got home I was really bummed that all the pics I took came out like crap....so thanks for sharing those awesome pics!

Great trip report MB.

I saw you start posting, but I hadn't had time until tonight to sit down and go through it all. It looks like another great trip!

Beautiful pictures and it really makes me want to head for the island NOW!! The picture of Ruth and the hat is priceless and the couple of you and Charlie are great. That's my goal this next trip is to get one picture of Jason and I to put in this specific frame. Now, if I could just see a sunset like this one!! Wow!

Thanks for sharing all your pictures and I'm glad your family did well traveling even if it's just you and Charlie flying solo next trip!!
