at the villa

He makes drinks

And burgers!

I brought some paper goods from home

Have you made the dip that is on the back of the Salsa Picante from STJ Spice? Love it! Pictured here in the glass dish

Our night at Zozo's

Lime and coconut colada at Skinny's

Orange tuna and lobster roll at Tourist Trap

And the best new find of the trip - The Surly Cantina in Cruz Bay. Fun, fresh tacos and you must have the Surly Corona. It's a cold cold Corona topped with green chiles, salt and lime. Delicious! Have been dreaming about these ever since. Need to try it at home.

Just exactly where is Surly Cantina? We'd like to try it out in July.Marcia (Mrs. Pete) wrote:We really liked the Surly Cantina, too. I crave their taco salad.
Nice pix MBW! Thank you.
Thanks for posting the pics, MB, Great villa, huh? Looks like it did when we stayed there, except the vegetation has really grown up!
More please!

The liver is evil, it must be punished!

Bert, Surly Cantina is located in Wharfside Village, basically across the street from Slim man's parking lot. It used to be Paradise Cafe. We tried it right after they opened and thought it was good too. Almost got there this time, but it was closed the day we were in town for lunch.
Mary Beth, Loving your pictorial report. We had some overcast days too but not much rain at all. We definitely did less beach time than usual this trip. Skeeters didn't help either. It's all good though as long as we are on STJ. Our best day for weather was probably the beach day at Honeymoon. That really is a nice beach to hang out for the day. There were some boats that stopped with snorkelers, but not too bad.
I have made that Salsa Picante dip from St John Spice. I used cheddar instead of mozzarella It was a hit for sure. I really like your idea of topping it with some salsa and will do that next time.
Remember the tip you gave me for CBGR on garlic bread? We are still hooked and I made some today. I used garlic and fresh herb butter(chives and parsley), then sprinkled with CBGR and parm and baked. Oh soooo darn good! I would have never thought of doing that.

Going "home" again October 26th!
