Legends?...

Post by Emjohnson8 »

I would love to hear any stories anyone has about the Estate Enighed area or anywhere on St. John in general hauntings etc, I think I have read all there is to read about this section of St. John but I am so curious as to if there are any legends or stories of strange things happening at people's homes that may be due to un-rested souls?. This may sound really strange but seeing as St. John was covered in plantations I'm sure there has got to be some stories out there. I work and live right next to the old estate house on Estate Enighed which is now the library and strange things keep happening on a very regular basis. If anyone has any info and would like to share I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.

I remember reading a book that was in one of the houses we rented that was ghost stories about St. John and maybe St. Thomas. I can't recall the name of the book I read, but a search on amazon.com turns up a book called Virgin Island Tales of Ghosts, Hauntings, and Jumbies, by Joan A. Medlicott. Have you read this book?
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Gerald Singer has an interesting Culture section on his website/blog.

In the drop down menu under the picture of the boat just scroll down to "Magic & Supernatural"
