Short Bed Pickup Rental

Post by chazalez »

Hi- I am a huge fan of this forum! We will be on St John in August with a large group (9 peeps). We are SO excited!!!!! Has anyone ever rented the short bed pickup from Paris car rental? Pros and cons? Aside from losing a friend off the back! Where is Paris car rental located?
Thanks so much!

Hi Chazalez,

We rented the short bed safari truck last May with a group of 6 & loved it. We rented ours from Cool Breeze it is right beside Cap's.
They were great to deal with.

Were you thinking of just 1 truck for all 9???

I think it would be to tight, there wouldn't be much room for chairs or anything else other than the passengers.

But we did love having it for the group.

Thanks Shopper! I did not realize that the safari truck would be so tight. We will probably go with two 4wd vehicles. Have a great day!

Hi Chalazez,

If It was me with 9 people, I would look at 2 of the Safari Trucks, it would give you lots of room for the coolers, chairs & beach bag.

It was so great for getting in & out of with all your stuff.

Just my oppinion

Hi Chazalez!

Our group has rented the "Safari Truck" several times during our trips to St. John and usually had anywhere from 8 to 12 people. Now 12 was a tad bit crowded, but they are a ball and we always had coolers, bags, beach chairs - no problem with space. In fact, we will be renting one for our next trip in November '09. I think we've rented from Delbert in St. John. 8)
