Nice to see some shots from in town, those don't always get posted.

And shots from the water.. Priceless 8)

Thanks Wakey. I purposely take pictures of buildings and signs just because no one ever does. Cruz Bay has some great buildings and signs! So does Coral Bay. I love signs like Miss Lucy's or Island Blues.

CG you will be happy to know the Island is lush and green again. Hard to believe it looked like that just a few weeks ago  We have trees around the villa with a foot of new growth just since we arrived a week ago.

loving the trip report.

We also got stung at waterlemon and at salomon. You could see very tiny jelly fish at both places. The stings were not bad and only lasted for a short time. We wore our rash guards at waterlemon so only got stung on the legs. At salomon we did not wear them and got stung on the arms. The small jelly fish were not bad and did not prevent us from going in the water. If anyone is concerned you can buy a product called sea safe and it will keep them from stinging. For the amount of jelly fish that we encountered I would not use it in STJ. We did need it in mexico a few years ago, because they were very thick.

Cptn - It's heartening to know the island recovers so quickly. It was so sad to see it (and all the others) so brown.

Nancy - Thanks for clearing up the cause of the stinging. Like you said, not bad stings and they went away so fast... mere minutes. They surely didn't keep me out of the water!

I literally felt the breeze that comes after a long day in the sun when I looked at your sunset pictures. My shoulders seemed to relax for a moment. Thanks for taking me there with you!!

Margo - you know if I didn't have Colin pics as my screen saver, your pics would be flashing on my computer right now! They are awesome!

It's so sad to see how dry the islands all are though...especially from the water.

How did the pepper jelly do???

Glad I could be of service, Nic! :D

Elizabeth, the pepper jelly was a HIT. I let Sydney take it home because I still have a jar in my fridge. What was really yummy was to take a water cracker, put a hunk of smoked salmon on it, plop on some cream cheese and top it with pepper jelly! Follow that with a swig of VI Mango Pale Ale and you've got nirvana!

Glad it went over well - that stuff is so good! You should tell Les how far her pepper jelly has travelled :)

Oh and thanks for rubbing it in about the Mango Ale!!!
