If so what did you think?? I've never stayed up that high and we're looking at a villa up there.

Yes. It's a wonderful location. We stayed at Notre Ciel and loved it. It's an easy drive down to Maho and Francis, as well as Coral Bay. Plus the drive to Cruz Bay is not bad.

The breezes and views are magnificent. Watching the sunrises, as well as the clouds and weather rolling in were some of our favorite pastimes. We love being high up.

We've stayed just below Notre Ciel, at Luna Vista. It's very convienient to Coral Bay and just a hop, skip and jump to the north shore. Cruz Bay is not a bad drive if you take Centerline. I love being that high up.

We were there in late summer and the pool was a bit cool, but I don't think it saw much sun at all. It wasn't the kind of villa pool that you'd want to hang out in a lot. I didn't find the temp that much cooler up there. Maybe a couple of degrees. If you have a pool that gets plenty of sun, it should be fine. I think a shady pool can be cold, no matter where the location....IMO.
