The weather was definitely a bummer this time. After 21 visits this ranks as one of the worst weather weeks. Then since it hadn't rained for a while, the big rain last week made all the mosquitos come out. When parked at Maho they would swarm the car. THe only bg spray that worked was 100% DEET that we got at Paradise Lumber. This really bummed me out since we look do forward to coming down......the 30mph winds made it impossible to sit or cook outside, even wehn you were out in the ocean the mosquitos nibbled on your head and I hardly have a tan to come home with....
On the good side, we still love the island, we love our friends down here and it is always good to see them. Plus it is true, a rainy day in paradise is better than any day in Pennsylvania. I will still be really sad doing the walk of shame at the airport....our next trip down might be a little sooner than next year to prove there actually is a sun. I will post a trip report and pics when we get home!

Exactly like one of our trips a couple of years ago...we looked like we were covered head to toe in Chicken Pox! Spent a lot of time at the Marketplace Drugstore that trip.
Seems like every so often we hit it like that, not fun for those of us that live for our tropical fix, but good for the island.
