Happiness Day 5 - The Other Side

Post by pswlrw »

Today is our Coral Bay day. We get up and do some morning pool time, coffee with a view, cousin bonding. This view never gets old.

Then we head to Skinny Legs to meet up with my brother and his fiancé for lunch. Damn, that is a fine burger!

Now it’s off to Lameshure Bay. This is my first time on a beach on this side of the island and I have to say, while it was stunningly beautiful, I do prefer the softer sand, non-rocky access of the beaches on the other side of the island.

Tonight we are having dinner at my brother’s house. I don’t know if I mentioned this previously, but this year’s trip is extra special for my brother because Greg is his son and it is such a wonderful feeling to have us together on this beautiful island. (Insert happy weeping here  ). My brother’s fiancé made her “to die for” macaroni and cheese, home made cole slaw, grilled flank and chicken, grilled veggies and sautéed mushrooms with garlic and oil. They come up to our beach house every year and MP and I just LOVE to cook together, so it was fabulous to do it with the Coral Bay hillside as our backdrop. We had dinner on their fabulous deck and MP made a very touching toast about love and family and yup, you guessed it, more happy weeping. Definitely a theme of the week!!

Headed home full and happy. Hot tub, star gazing, bed. Ahhhh.

I'm really enjoying your report! It sounds like a fun filled and relaxing vacation.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I love your view. We stayed in the same area in March. It was nice to wake up to each day. Did you get a wake up call from a large truck each morning at 7:15?

The other side is beautiful but I have to agree with you about the white sandy beaches. 8)
