Monday Morning Rain

Post by Diana2 »

Looks like it's a bit rainy this AM. I hope STJ gets some drought relief. I'm looking forward to my trip in 5 weeks and for selfish reasons hope that the island get green and the cysterns fillup too but I also want the skeeter count to be low. I've got my fingers crossed :D .

Checked the webcam from Chocolate Hole and it looked torrential - coming and going rainfall up in the mountain here on STT -- and wunderground.com has the whole week at 70% POP but www.weathercarib.com seems to have a fairly realistic combo of info - no question though the VI needs some rain - the water truck traffic is clogging up the roads!.

Yes, I'm here at Caneel Bay, and it's coming down in a major way!! Not sure how long this is expected to last.

The total at my house is almost exactly 6 inches since 6:30, a little over an inch an hour. Springtime is here!
For those coming down next week: bring plenty of whatever you prefer to use for mosquitoes.
