Jelly Fish ?

Post by Betty »

When we were at the Bath's on April 2, there were lots small jelly fish that didn't sting, a boat tour captain was with his group and said they were Almond Jelly Fish. Has anyone ever heard of these before, and is that their actual name or did I misunderstand the gentleman.

I don't know the name, but if they looked like "blobs of jelly" he is correct that they don't sting (so I have been told - I still don't like them :) )

Yes they looked like blobs of jelly and ranged in size from an almond out of the shell to the size of an egg. they were in a large group. We snorkeled right through them and they did not sting, it was very eerie and cool!

Pia we are coming back May 16-24 hope you are going to be around :)
