49 days and REI sale on Keens!!

OK so -- SUPER excited!! I'm under the 50 day mark.

Also got an e-mail alert from REI and they are having a sale on Keens.

As you know Keens are pricey but are IMHO one of the best kinds of shoe you can wear on STJ. I know they are ugly but I swear these shoes were designed with STJ in mind.

Anyway, they've got Keen Newports on sale for $69.99 (which is about 26% off the regular price). Even at the end of the season you're hard pressed to pay less than $59.

Thanks Gromit! I love my Keens. I personally think they're kind of cute in a geek chic kind of way.

For the stuff I wear them for -- hiking, biking, boating etc. -- I know they're much better looking than gym shoes!

My husband and I are Keen aficionados !!! He recently referred to me as the "Imelda Marcos" of Keens! LOVE 'em!...and I don't think they are ugly at all! Foot comfort comes way before fru-fru looks for me.

I see some new ones in my near future. I see Zappos has lots of Keens on sale too...have to gauge prices against REI as Zappos has free shipping and REI store (free shipping) is 50 miles from me.

ooo....time to shop online.....

Hey Carolyn-- don't forget Zappos will match the price for the exact same item and size if they have it.

The max a customer can do this is once a month on one item.

You just call up Zappos tell them you saw the item for a lower price and where. They will check on line at the competitions web site while you are on the phone and they will give you that price.

They are really good about this.
