Wow....I just looked at the newly restored Spice Cam, and I did a double take. What's with the long sleeves, long pants, and even a sweater?? :o Is it that cool there now? Ruth? No wonder the web cam broke, it won't work in cold weather!!

Have you ever noticed that it almost always has 80" as the temp. Kind of like a default if it is not working properly. I have seen it stick on 80" for about an entire day from sun up to sun down. I know the temp does not vary much there, but I just do not believe that thing stating that it is 80" all the time. Sounds like the tourism board has them do this to look good???

Hmmm...personally I don't think the tourism board has to suggest something like that to make St. John look good. I'll take whatever the temperature is in Cruz Bay over where I am at the time.
Seriously, the temp can remain that constant all day long in the shade.

I've noticed that the temp does not fluctuate more than 10 degrees F. And many times the temperature does not drop until about 4 or 5 am. So, the temp could hold steady throughout the night.

I would say the temp on SJS webcam is pretty close.
