Another ? about ferry to JVD
I looked at the ferry schedule on this site and I read that it is the same ferry from STT to STJ to JVD.
This site also recommends advanced reservations. Has anyone done that before and if so did you do it before you arrived? We will be arriving on a Friday and would like to do the ferry on Saturday from STT. Should we make a resv. before we travel? This would be the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Are you wanting to go to JVD?
If so, it does leave stt then to stj and to jvd. It depends on whether there is someone in immigration on Jost as to whether or not it stops in Tortola.
When we took it, it stopped at Tortola to clear customs.
I did not have to make a reservation last May. I'm sure that it depends on the time of year that you are going.
