Glorious Day in the NE

Post by psufan »

For those of us in the northeast, isn't today fantastic? I am sitting outside in my bathing suit, soaking up rays (responsively, of course, as a melanoma survivor) and working on a playlist for our upcoming trip. What a welcome change!!

Sorry, I forgot to mention the incredibly refreshing gin and tonic to make the pictur complete!! Life is good!

Yesterday was unreal. We sat out on the deck drinks in one hand and the tunes cranking through the neighborhood while we where watching the Red sox/Yanks pound each other (what a game). You must realize our deck sits way up so all the neighbors can see and hear us.

V-TEK slams a grand slam and up goes the wifey with a very loud WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO....WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... All the neighbors look over at us. She yells out Tek just grand slammed!

Thank god the neighbors like us..

Last night it was 74 on St. John according to Spice Cam and 83 here....HUH? Northeast hotter than St. John in April...I've seen it all.

We hit 84 here in the midwest yesterday and it is 79 already this mourning. Might have to watch today's race out on the deck. :D

Wow... it was great!
I saw 87 degrees on my car thermometer late yesterday afternoon driving home from Burlington, VT. Top down... Bliss. It totally got me in the mood to buy my remaining island things I needed. The "to pack" pile has started, and I've never been a "to pack" kinda person. I usually just fling things in the suitcase at the last moment. Wee!

(Top down on the car, that is!)

We swapped "WooHoo's" with our Yankee fan neighbors. We got in the last Woo Hoo!

I'm sure tonight's game will go until midnight; will be a long day at the office tomorrow.

And yes, the weather here has been more than just mild - a nice early visit by lady summer! Nice 8) 8)

Nah, Gordon's a good guy. Did you see his twin with him during the pre-race interview. Yep, his wife cut her hair. Now they look alike...
