I like the Starwood Amex.... it is primarily for Starwood properties but you can convert mile to ANY airline and for every 20000 you convert they give you a bonus of 5000 miles!
Even with all the hate for American Airlines, I find a citiAAdvantage card the best deal and quite frankly the easiest to deal with when booking trips. Just be a bit flexible and they seem to always get us on board.
