The NICEST thing just happened...

Post by jdw »

A little background: Our trip is scheduled for next month. Two couples, each celebrating our 25th anniversary. Just a few minutes ago I received a phone call from a coworker of my husband's. She said - "Do not ask any questions. Just answer a few." After a few questions it was obvious what her plans are. She is having a chef come to our villa and cook dinner for all four of us (and she doesn't even know the other couple!)!!! Isn't that the most thoughtful idea ever?? She is so sweet and generous! I started crying when she told me. I am still in shock!

A while back we were trying to decide what to do for our anniversary dinner while we were in St. John. We discussed having a chef come in but decided that we would go to Caneel for the seafood buffet. Now we get to enjoy both!!

We will be on island three weeks from tomorrow!

Wow! That is so nice! What a wonderful gift. You'll have to take some pictures of the dinner prep and presentation for her.

Have a great anniversary!

You must be a really nice person for a coworker to do that for you. What a generous offer.

WOW! That's an awesome gift...clearly, I need to tell more people when I'm going to be on-island and how cool it is to have dinners at your villa, massages at your villa, etc...and see if anyone loves me half as much! 8)

Happy Anniversary! Say hello on island and I'll pick up the Anniversary drink! :D

That is cool when you plan and plan and then someone does something extra that makes it even better. My Dad paid for our car rental for our trip and it freed up a lot of money we spent eating out and shopping. Happy Anniversary!
Still waiting to return to St. John!

Cypress knows what she's talking about.
Sometimes good things actually happen to good people.
I'm so happy for you. Remember to relax & enjoy, sometimes it's all about you, ya' know?
Who's the caterer? If it's Mathayum from STJ. Catering, be sure to bring him some Tasty Kakes! (He's a Philly Boy...)
I'm so tickled by this thread, and happy for you!

Wow! That is really cool!! Enjoy it all, life's too short to let the small and the big things go by without celebrating them!

Oh, and by the way, what is your friend's name and how do I get in touch with them?????
