I forget where I bought mine but I got a set a multi converters that work in different countries. They come with a carry pouch.
Come to think of it I'm pretty sure I got it at Target. Worked fine.

Best Buy or Target sells them. Also good at Target are the packing bags, I use them when going on long trips. They are the bags that you put your clothes in and then roll the air out and they compress to fit more in your suitcase. i forget the official name of them.

MaryBeth did you ever think that the Meet Betty thread would turn into a thread about Europe :D

Different style plugs in different countries - but the voltage is 220-230. A lot of things (cameras, video cameras, cell phones, computers) will work with just the plug adapters. A few things won't and you will need an actual transformer if you really need the device.

These guys are good - great prices - I have bought from them several times:

This is probably all you will need:

One note - it Italy they have the 2 prong round style plugs, but they come in more than one size, which can be a real pain. See this http://www.traveloasis.com/wa9wa12and16.html
#1 is really handy - the #2 doesn't seem to fit into anything - the WA12-A is good too if you have a 3 prong (grounded) US style plug.
