Island Dreams Villa

Post by Carolyn »

I am gathering info for villa rentals, and Island Dreams has come to the top of the list. Thru the forum, the owner's daughter has graciously shared info/insight that I appreciate.

I can not find any reviews, anywhere. Someone has to have stayed here. Any input?

There might not be that many reviews since my parents seem to always be down there  ....

Plus the house is only 2 years old. I would love to read any reviews though so I can relay any issues to mom and dad.

I can offer a (almost correct?) description from a visit before and after Omar. Parking is easy and to the left of the house. An outdoor patio in the front is protected from the road by a tall wall and generous plantings of shrubs, trees, and flowers. Larry has rigged a sail as a cover for the table and chairs. Enter the house from the middle of the front and the kitchen is on the right. Modern kitchen, beautiful cabinets, and stone countertop. The dining and seating area is back on the right, with a sliding door and windows to the back deck. The bedroom is to the left and beautifully done. There's lots of light and you can watch the sunrise through the sliding doors that lead to the pool and deck. The covered deck off the back runs the length of the house and has a spectacular view of Coral Bay and off to the southeast. And you can lean over the pool deck and see below if anyone is getting nekkid in the Pink Horses pool. Also, the house has wireless. Lily's, Aqua Bistro, and Skinny's are a short drive down the hill.

The BookItVI website has good photos. Nancy and Ernie do a good job managing the place.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

Thanks Chet!

It looks soooooo good to me. I appreciate the feedback! Sounds like you have gotten to know the owners and the love they have for the place shows! Eliza has graciously shared additional info. I am in the process of hopefully booking it for the time we want. Woohoo!

I don't know the time of year you were there but did you use the AC or were you able to be comfortable w/ the breeze only? Tell me your experience that way.

Not sure I read Chet's post correctly...who are Nancy and Ernie? are they w/ bookitVI? duh? I have been corresponding w/ Christy.

We just re-entered from 5 nights next door at St John Livin which is the sister-ship of Dreams. They sit next to each other with Livin above.

The views are completely killer...Coral Bay, Hurricane Hole, East End and right up the Drake Channel with several of the BVIs lined up on each side. You can see all the way to Virgin Gorda. Very Cool!

Never even thought about A/C since the breezes (winds) last week kept us cooled us off. Although we were above and beside Dreams, we could not see anything on it's back deck and just a little sliver of the pool.

Easy drive from Coral Bay up Carolina Rd which is concrete up to the villa and beyond. The smaller road back in is partially paved and also an easy drive.

The lanscaping at Dreams is gorgeous and well grown for 2 1/2 years old.

Every Coral Bay store & eatery is easily within 5 - 10 min.

We loved Livin' and I'm sure you'll love Dreams.
