Just do it! There is stuff you just NEED.
We have a ritual where we wave goodbye forever to every bag we check before a flight. That way if it does not show up we are not upset. I actually refused to come get a lost bag at the dock last year. It was a polar bear cooler full of marinated chicken and shrimp, etc. I told the guy who (eventually) called that he should just dump out the contents and keep the cooler for himself.

It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

That is funny JT, we opened the carry on suitcase and out of the inside pocket fell our extra "leatherman" We packed it for STJ last year and it never made it out of the suitcase. We used that suitcase 4 times as a carry on since then and did not realize that it ws in there. Neither did the TSA...by they took my eggbeaters...go figure!JT wrote:I think you should seek help.
You know, for me, the main reason I would check a bag is so as I could have my Swiss Army knife while I'm down there.
I feel so much safer now that you don't have your eggbeaters!Xislandgirl wrote:That is funny JT, we opened the carry on suitcase and out of the inside pocket fell our extra "leatherman" We packed it for STJ last year and it never made it out of the suitcase. Seriously, it makes you wonder what else is getting through and how on-the-ball the TSA people are. Sheesh!Xislandgirl wrote:[

I just got a new "carry on" knowing that it will hold all of my stuff (I still need to measure it, as it looks pretty big). Despite the fact that it will hold everything, doesn't change the fact that there will certainly be things that I want to take, that won't be allowed in the carry on. No Eggbeaters for me, but surely there will be something!
There's no shame in it. It is what it is!
