Info on Stoneharbor in Coral Bay

Post by toni »

We've decided to go back to St. John in December this year after being there in March. In the past we've only been able to go every 3 years or so, but decided it's only $$$ and we can't spend it after we're dead! Might as well enjoy ourselves....

We're looking at Stoneharbor in Coral Bay-any information is appreciated-can't tell too much from the pictures-how's the kitchen? I read a review that says it's w/i walking distance of some places-can anyone tell me exactly where Stoneharbor is located and if walking is feasible?

We really enjoyed staying close to Cruz Bay last month and think it would be fun to be w/i walking distance of places in Coral Bay which we also enjoy.

Thanks for any help!

Toni - Stoneharbor is the first house on the left up Harold's Way, beside Crabby's. Very short walk from the house to Cocoloba and Island Blues. The kitchen is small, but adequate. Bedroom downstairs is comfy and cool. We stayed there twice a few years ago. Let me know if I can answer any more questions for you...

Hi,

I had asked about this for a fall trip.

I got some feedback from a non-forumite who has stayed there the past 3 or 4 summers and is returning this summer. Obviously, they like it very much, primarily, the screened porch and small pool. They've had no problems with noise at all. The bedroom has AC, the rest of the house does not.

Here are comments specific to the kitchen - "The
kitchen is not great but adequate for our needs. It is small, no
dishwasher, small stove, and a refrigerator. It has dishes, glassware,
cookware, and utensils to make a simple meal."

Thanks for the information-working on the husband to stay more days-we've just gone for 7 nights in the past and maybe one or 2 on STT. But I'm leaning towards longer, maybe 10 if we can swing it. I'd like to split the stay between Cruz Bay and Coral Bay-we really had a lot of fun being able to walk into town during our last stay. Had a chance to explore places a lot more than we have before. We've stayed at Concordia and the Calabash Boom area before, but never ventured out at night so being able to walk to Coral Bay places would be a lot of fun :D

Any decision will be a good decision!

Hi,

Here's another Coral Bay cottage that is supposed to be "walkable"

http://www.vrbo.com/108972

10 days are great. We're doing 7 in Coral Bay and 3 in Cruz Bay this fall.

All decisions should be such fun.
