TGIF ST JOHN PIC

Post by cptnkirk »

Well It's getting close and I'm getting excited. Lets post pics of our favorite beach and why. Heres Salomon my fave. For the solitude and great snorkeling. OH! those three gorgeous palms right in the middle of the beach. That beach is as good as it gets as far as I'm concerned :D It's worth that hike.

My favorite beach is Gibney. I love the entrance:

I love the fact that we always have the beach to ourselves:

I love the snorkeling to the right:

And the secret beach around the corner:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/28539958@N00/1779345870/" title="gibney secret beach by liamsaunt, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2231/177 ... 93315c.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="gibney secret beach"></a>

One more from Gibney, because it is that time of year :D :

According to F,F &4WD, you go around the rocks on the right to get to the secret beach.

cptnkirk, we were in the Dentist's office two weeks ago getting cavities filled for my 11 year old daughter. I heard the shrieks from the waiting room and went back to find daughter having an anxiety attack pre-novocaine. I held her hands and said "Picture yourself walking down the trail to Salomon Bay with the palm trees hanging over the water and the turtles in the bay." She did okay, but was teary by the time the shots were done.

Our Dentist took us to a hallway where a large beach photograph was framed, "Saloman Bay is my favorite place in the world!" he said. We had a good laugh when I pulled out my phone and pulled up the same pic from the week before.

This is a good place.

Cheers, RickG
