We have rented from the Suttons for several years. Here's my story, which I have told before.
I stupidly backed one of his new cars into some chicken wire...totally scratched the back of it. I came to Conrad and was honest with him about my mistake. He said, "no worries" and thanked me for being honest with him.
I love the guy and the way he does business.
I know I am on island when I see him, sweating through his white, v-necked shirt, washing down a jeep. I call out, "good day Mr. Sutton." He turns, smiles, and says, "good to see you again." Ahhhhh...I'm home.
Love 'em.

Wise move, my friend.soxfan22 wrote:Wow! This is great to hear! I remember awhile back reading some thread titled "Never Again Conrad Sutton". I don't remember who authored it, but after reading that, we had always made a conscious decision NOT to rent from them. That will change, and we will rent from them next time.
Thanks for sharing, and I'm sorry for your loss.
Say "hi" to Mr. Sutton for us. He was so gracious, the year I had a broken wrist...I'll never forget his kindness. And Gladys. And, oh my goodness, Carmen. They are like family to us.
