So here is what we did....

Post by Nic in KC »

Many of you gave me advice on the OT form about Sanibel. We booked our trip and I'm sure it would be wonderful, but I could never really grasp that we weren't going to St. John. Then, a shark bit someone off the coast of Sanibel this weekend and I thought, I don't have to worry much about sharks in St. John, I must look and see if there is any way we can cancel and make St. John work. Well, airfare has dropped and we were able to book Sailview (both suites) so my parents and J and I are headed back!! Yippee! We'll be there in July. The best part is we aren't losing more than 200.00 cancelling everything we'd already booked. This is going to be a much needed break from some stress!

I know Caribert is there and we'll just miss Flip and Gromit, but who else is on island the 11-18th?

Nic---Love your logic---you HAD to go to STJ to avoid the sharks.

Honestly, Sanibel is very nice, but the water does not compare to STJ---good decision.

Good for you!

I am thinking of pulling a vacation switch-a-roo myself.

We have/had loose plans for several different things this summer but if all works out for me, I will be throwing a STJ trip together and hope the Husband is on board.

YEAH NIC! Looking forward to meeting you all in July! I think we have a meet-N-Greet at the BB on the 12th.

Well we have vacationed in that area for years and loved it but St John wins hands down, good for you on your upcoming trip.

Lucky you! I've been to Sanibel and Captiva and really like that area, but it doesn't compare to St. John! I love your "oops sharks in Sanibel.... go to St. John plan!!!" I need lessons!

Gymnastika,
You're lucky too! It seems like you just got back! Nice!
